Why the Manual Matters

Automatic knives are restricted in a number of states and cities, and plenty of people who want a Heretic cannot legally carry one. This is the same knife without that problem.

It also travels better. A manual goes places an automatic should not, and you are not thinking about it every time you cross a state line.

The Tanto

The tanto puts a second edge at the front at an angle to the main one, which leaves considerably more steel behind the point. If your use case involves anything the tip has to survive, this is the blade shape to take over the clip point.

The trade is slicing. A tanto has no belly, so it is not the one you want for food or for anything you would normally draw a curve through.

About the Camo

Camo has crossed over out of the hunting world into everyday carry and streetwear, and Heretic put their version of it on the knife that made the most sense to start with. Against a black blade and black hardware it reads less like hunting gear and more like a pattern that happens to be camo.

Glass Packed Polymer, and Why It Matters

Glass packed polymer is the same idea behind the frame on a SIG or a Glock. Chopped glass fiber is mixed into the polymer before it is molded, which makes the finished part far stiffer and more dimensionally stable than plain plastic while staying light.

That is how Heretic puts MagnaCut and American manufacturing into a knife at this price. Every internal component is machined and stainless steel plates are set into the chassis for rigidity. This is not a budget build wearing a Heretic label.

MagnaCut

MagnaCut gives you edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance without trading any of the three. Finding it on a USA made folder at this price is not normal.

Made in Florida

Heretic designs, engineers, and assembles every knife in house at their Melbourne, Florida facility, and backs all of it with a lifetime warranty.

Why This One Stands Out

Duck Camo was the first camo finish Heretic ran, and the automatic version sold out here. This is the one you can carry anywhere.
