They Came In Together

Both of these arrived on the same trade in. Somebody bought the Medusa and the Thoth as a matched set, carried them as a matched set, and traded them in still matched.

That is the part worth paying attention to. Cel Shade runs are small and the finishes are hand painted, so a knife and a pen that actually belong to each other are not something you assemble after the fact. You either find them together or you do not find them.

Condition, Plainly

Both are used. Neither has fall damage. Both come with their boxes. Look the photos over before you buy, because that is what you are getting.

Why Cel Shade Pieces Do Not Match Each Other

Cel Shade is Cerakote applied by hand and sealed under a clear coat, built to read like comic book cel shading with depth in it rather than a flat color.

Because a person paints each one, no two come out the same. That is the appeal and it is also why two pieces that were finished to live together are worth keeping together.

The Medusa

A 3.25 inch MagnaCut tanto at 2.1 ounces, on a frame lock with a steel insert, a Lockbar Stabilizer, and GTC race bearings in the pivot. The tanto puts a second shorter edge at the front at an angle to the primary one, so the point sits behind a lot more steel than a standard profile gives you.

The Thoth

Two carry lengths in one pen. The center barrel unscrews and comes out, so it goes from 5.05 inches down to 3.48 with no tools. Titanium end caps on an aluminum barrel, bolt action, and it takes Fisher Space Pen cartridges, which write upside down and in the cold and cost a few dollars anywhere.
